Kenko's popular lens filter series, PRO1D, has evolved with a new generation 'PRO1D Lotus' series featuring water-repellent and oil-resistant functions.
Named after the lotus leaf, which repels water droplets like beads and remains clean, the 'PRO1D Lotus' series is equipped with a water-repellent and oil-resistant coating that strongly repels water and oil.
The metal frame is treated with hard anodizing, and the glass clamp spring is corrosion-resistant, ensuring durability in harsh environments and resistance to water and dirt.
The PRO1D Lotus ND series uses vacuum deposition technology to achieve extremely high neutrality.
Unlike ND filters made of solid glass or resin, which tend to transmit near-infrared light and cause color cast, vapor-deposited ND filters uniformly reduce light across all wavelengths, providing natural color reproduction. Suitable for both still photography and video, and with water-repellent and oil-resistant coating, it is easy to handle unexpected dirt or water droplets.
The ND32 and ND64 types are high-density ND filters ideal for longer exposure times or creating artistic effects in photography.
The lens mount features a new 'Dry Lubrication' treatment, which enhances smooth attachment and detachment, reducing jamming, similar to surface treatments used on aperture blades.
