In the current era where digital octave effects have become common, the 'Double Dragon Lo-Fi Octave' was developed to revisit the history of octave effects. This pedal is based on analog octave divider technology from 40 to 50 years ago. This technology has produced many legendary devices and has greatly influenced many synthesizer designers. Its main feature is the warm, lo-fi sound characteristic of pure analog circuits, before DSP and advanced digital processing became mainstream.

Double Dragon is a fully analog, monophonic octave down/up effect pedal. The bass octave is thick and has a texture unique to analog, inheriting the sound characteristics of vintage octave circuits. The upper octave produces a gritty texture with a sharp midrange that stands out in mixes, serving as an octave-up distortion. This is JHS Pedals' first octave pedal. Although they have previously made octave fuzz pedals, it took time to develop a sub-octave circuit they were satisfied with. The lo-fi, distinctive character of the sound was achieved after a long development process.

Designed to deliver the iconic sound of octave effects that have shaped rock and alternative music, this pedal is suitable for modern players seeking a musical and creative sound different from digital precision.

■ Controls - VOLUME: Controls the master output volume and can also be used as a preamp for a great sound when OCT-/+ is off and the DRY knob is at maximum. - DRY: Mixes the clean signal with the octave effect. It is recommended to start from the maximum. At minimum, only the wet signal is heard, producing a vintage synth-like texture. - OCT-: Controls the mix of the sub-octave. - OCT+: Controls the upper octave and distortion. The OCT+ switch turns it on or off.

*To use only the upper octave, turn the effect on and set OCT- to minimum.
