From Orange Village to Spring ~ ON Associates CM WORKS: Producer's Choice

ON Associates, the production company that has produced high-quality commercial music that is synonymous with the history of J-POP since the 1970s, such as "Time, Stop!" (Eikichi Yazawa), "Wine Red Heart" (Anzen Chitai), and "You're Shining Brightly Now" (Tetsuo Saito), is releasing a best-of selection of songs by popular J-pop and kayokyoku artists, following in the footsteps of Keiichi Suzuki, Yasuo Higuchi, and Akira Ito. Every track is of such high quality that it could be released as a single, embodying the concept of "catchphrase with music," with memorable melodies and sounds. The album includes the original "Whiskey ga, Osuki Desho" (composed by Masamichi Sugi), which was also covered by Mariya Takeuchi and the earlier Gospellers and became a hot topic this year, as well as #8 "VAN SCENE," a rare duet featuring Hosono, Yano, and Minako, and #9 "Picky," with Shigeru Suzuki's irresistible pop melody, and Akiko Yano (#17 "Jitensha de Oide" is a solo vocal version by Yano), and Minako Yoshida (the famous song #16 "Thanks to" from BELLS). This special collection features songs that are either being released on record for the first time or are different versions from previously released recordings. It's a long-awaited collection of songs that fans of each artist and avid J-POP fans will enjoy listening to, from beginning to end. The tracks include an alternate take of "you", Saeko Suzuki (the familiar Chicken Ramen song), Hiroko Taniyama (first time on record), Lily, Seri Ishikawa (CM version), Taeko Onuki (arranged by Ryuichi Sakamoto, first time on record), and Kirinji (an alternate take of "Descendants of Icarus"), Sunny Day Service (first time on record), and the original Walkman CM song #12 by the genius Takasuke Kida.
