While retaining the core gameplay mechanics of jump action, ring arts, and combo bonuses, the PSP version features fully voiced event scenes. A stellar cast of voice actors, including Kentaro Ito, Ai Nonaka, Aya Hisakawa, Tesshō Genda, and Banjō Ginga, dramatically enhance the profound story. The game also features a background music switcher between three versions: the PC-8801 version, the X68000 version, and the original PC version. You can switch between sound types at any time during gameplay, so you can enjoy your favorite Ys soundtrack to your heart's content.
