It is the successor model to the conventional EF-51. Of course, it can be replaced with the conventional model without any problems, and it will synchronize with the front and rear derailleurs of the old model. However, it is not compatible with caliper brakes or cantilever brakes. For caliper and cantilever brakes, please choose the 4-finger type.
