The Kenko Black Mist Protector is a versatile effect filter that combines a gentle soft effect with protective filter functions, allowing for continuous use.
The "Black Mist" is a filter embedded with extremely fine black diffusion material within optical glass. It suppresses contrast in highlights and shadows, diffusely spreads light in night scenes and other lighting conditions to create a striking, cinematic nuance. The Black Mist allows you to achieve a cinematic texture without retouching.
The Black Mist Protector provides about 1/4 of the effect of the Black Mist No.1 and about half of the effect of the Black Mist No.05, gently reducing contrast in photos and videos. It is designed to be less intense than Black Mist No.1 and No.05, making it suitable for everyday use without affecting the subject or situation.
Since it is intended for regular use, the Black Mist Protector also functions as a protective filter. It features multi-coating and water-repellent and oil-repellent coatings, ensuring excellent lens protection.
The logo design of the Black Mist Protector is based on the "TRAIJAN" font, widely used in movie titles since around 1990. This elegant design enhances the appreciation for your camera equipment.
