The highly anticipated live video release, "souvenir2025 ~mariya takeuchi live~," has been announced!

Singer-songwriter Mariya Takeuchi. Her 12th original album, "Precious Days," released in 2024 to commemorate her 45th anniversary, was a massive hit, selling over 300,000 copies. Following the album's success, her nationwide arena tour, "souvenir2025 mariya takeuchi live," held in 2025, was her first arena tour in 11 years. Starting with the Port Messe Nagoya 1st Exhibition Hall performance on April 15th (Tue) and concluding with the K Arena Yokohama performance on June 25th (Wed), the tour spanned 8 cities and 14 shows, drawing a total of 140,000 people and generating significant buzz.

This release is a video compilation featuring the best takes from that arena tour!

Speaking of Mariya Takeuchi's video works, the most recent and memorable is "souvenir the movie ~MARIYA TAKEUCHI Theater Live~ (Special Edition)," released in 2020, which garnered attention as her first-ever video release. This was a commercialized version of the film "souvenir the movie ~MARIYA TAKEUCHI Theater Live~," which had a limited theatrical release in November 2018 to commemorate Mariya Takeuchi's 40th anniversary. While it featured the best scenes from her three past tours (2000, 2010, and 2014), it also included many documentary elements.

This new release, however, is a purely live video work, completely capturing the best takes from a single tour. Most importantly, it's being released approximately one year after the tour's conclusion, while fan enthusiasm is still high, making it a groundbreaking work—a first for Mariya Takeuchi.

Mariya Takeuchi, like her husband Tatsuro Yamashita, is known as an artist who rarely appears in video media. While the video footage itself is undoubtedly rare, she is also known for her infrequent live performances and the difficulty in obtaining tickets. Last year's tour saw approximately 500,000 applications, leaving many fans unable to attend.
