Iwachu Cast Iron Kettle Type 9 Flat Round Arale Black Baked (Kiln Baked) 1.1L Direct Fire Nambu Ironware 11701

A tetsubin representing the tradition of Nanbu ironware. The more it is used, the more character it develops, and its expression changes with the user. The refined form, inheriting the beauty of Japanese tradition, exudes presence just by being there. Incorporating it into daily life allows for the replenishment of iron, which is often lacking. Although somewhat expensive, a Nanbu tetsubin is a lifelong investment. Please treat it as something to nurture over time. Iwachu products are crafted with care by artisans who inherit this tradition, ensuring high quality. As a traditional craft with a 400-year history, Nanbu ironware has always been cherished and utilized in daily life. The reliable quality of Iwachu products is supported by the hands of artisans who carry on this tradition. Compatible with gas stoves (not compatible with IH). The interior of the tetsubin features a traditional kiln-fired finish. The boiled water releases iron, enhancing its flavor. The kiln-fired finish is a traditional technique that forms an oxidation layer on the interior surface by firing the tetsubin at high temperatures. Due to the manufacturing process, there may be some unevenness in the layer. While the oxidation layer helps suppress rust, it is not a complete rust prevention. If rust appears but there is no odor and the water does not turn brown, it can still be used as is.
