Brand Introduction
The history of Levi's dates back to 1853 when Levi Strauss & Co was founded, and it began on May 20, 1873, when the first pair of jeans was invented. In the late 19th century, due to criticism of being heavy, jeans made from the French fabric Serge De Nîmes were introduced, and in 1934, the first pair of women's jeans was also launched. Levi's became widely loved as the freedom and progressive spirit of the Western culture spread across the United States. Today, Levi's jeans have become a fashion icon for the younger generation and have come to represent more than just a fashion brand.
Starting as a sturdy pair of pants for workers during the Gold Rush era, Levi's has evolved to meet the changing demands of the times, establishing itself as a timeless fashion item today. Iconic details such as denim, copper rivets, five pockets, and arcuate stitching continue to carry on this legacy. Levi's is a global brand that enjoys freedom, culture, and diverse values.
