Explanation by manufacturer
Transcending boundaries, minimalism.
G-SHOCK has built up design thinking rooted in functional beauty over a long period of time. The G-STEEL GST-B1000, which was born by inheriting this philosophy and reconstructing the origin model, realizes a design that has stripped down elements and a size design without waste. It is an all-round timepiece that crosses various scenes in one, from business, casual, and outdoor activities.

Rebuilding the origin model.
In 1983, the first G-SHOCK DW-5000C gave shape to the idea of “toughness,” and changed the common sense of watches. Inheriting that philosophy and form, the G-STEEL GST-B1000 has been reconstructed as a metal watch that combines modern sensibility. The red, blue, and yellow accents are memories of the origin that symbolize the passion for taking on challenges, waterproofness, and impact resistance. The will that dwells in brick patterns and octagonal bezels quietly speaks to choices to live in the present.

Minimal, Metal, Balance.
Balance between texture and function-. We continue to ask “what do we really need” and pursue the aesthetics of subtraction. The beauty that has been stripped down is shown in numbers with a case diameter of 44.2 mm or less, a thickness of 11.6 mm, and a weight of 118 grams. A metal watch with a minimal design that blends in with your style.

A single hairline talks about contours.
Hairline talks about precision and brilliance. The bezel, which excludes the logo and is finished with a minimalistic impression, has 3 types of polish: a straight line, a round hairline, and a mirror finish. It receives light, changes expression, and quietly accentuates texture. The stainless steel bracelet developed for the GST-B1000 has a hairline finish and a mirror finish. The newly developed tri-fold clasp is attractive for its neat design and hold. The modest appearance envelops the hands with high-quality air.

Refinement and strength with a core (core).
Strength isn't just about what you see. What G-SHOCK has cultivated is the philosophy of protecting against impacts. This idea is also alive in the internal structure. Carbon fiber-reinforced resin is used for the case, and cushioning parts made of urethane resin are used for the connection part of the metal band to absorb shock applied to the band joint and increase the connection strength of the metal band. Furthermore, by adopting a glass adhesive method and a small module, it flexibly absorbs external impacts, creating a form that combines strength, lightness, and thinness.
